BABYLOVECRASH bio

it’s snowing way too much in Seattle right now, so we moved our J/K pop dance night to next Thursday. in the meantime Reese and I wrote bios for our DJ names. I am a nerd and I wrote this boring geeky thing about my love for Japan and Korea:

BLC had been strongly drawn to japanese culture all her life. her childhood consisted mainly of a vhs tape of ‘my neighbor totoro’, trips to the pike place market comic book store to buy sailor moon stickers, watching power rangers and samurai pizza cats every morning before school and countless hours drawing her favorite snes rpg characters from chrono trigger. Japan just “made sense” to her without question. one fateful youtube cruising night in 2009, BLC stumbled upon a random Girl’s Generation video that would change the course of history. frivolous youtube arguments of wether donghae was dating jessica reminded her of the justin and britney boy band loving days, and it lead her to Super Junior’s SORRY SORRY video. nothing else mattered anymore than learning the 13 korean men’s names (it took about 3 weeks) and all their dances. SUJU and imported korean vengeance films were the main influence to want to learn more about korean culture and their immaculate dance pop music. BLC never thought she’d ever see SUJU live. since 2010 she has seen them live 3 times, including once in Japan as the only white girl in attendance. Japan has taught BLC to believe in yourself and follow your dreams. Korea has taught her awesome dance moves and showed her handsome men in cool outfits. GANBATTA, HWAITING!!!
